Chuck

Usually every summer I get hooked on a tv show and watch all the previous seasons in rapid succession.

Last year it was Heroes.

This year it's Chuck.

I finished the first season in about two days and am now searching for the second.

(Our blockbuster just closed, and I'm not really sure what to do, other than buy it.) 

(I had a dream about finding a store who rented it last night.)

But I will prevail and find the second season, hopefully soon, and continue the Chuck saga.

Golfcarts

Our vacation was amazing!

It was super low key and relaxing, and flew by WAY too fast.

One of my favorite things about Bald Head Island is that they don't allow cars in the island.

The only way to get around the island is on golfcarts, which adds to the slower, lazier, vacation-y feel.

(plus its really good for the environment, cause the carts run on electricity.)

All-in-all, I am very much a fan of golfcart transportation.

Island in the Sun!

Tomorrow our whole family is going to the beach! We'll be accompanied by my aunt Ster, uncle Dwayne and cousin Sarah!

I'm pretty ecstatic! (I'm pretty sure everyone where I work is REALLY sick of me talking about this trip.) We, took a trip to the beach with said family a few years ago, and it was hi-larious!

I have very high hopes for this trip!

Pride & Prejudice

I don't think I could marry a man who didn't love Pride and Prejudice.

I'm pretty sure that seriously reduces the number of prospective mates.

Oh well, some things can't be compromised.

Summer Reading

I usually don't get to do much reading (outside of textbooks) during the school year.

But now that the summer has come, I've become a hardcore bookworm.

So far I've finished: The Lacuna and Persuasion, and I'm working on The Murder of Roger Ackroyd. They have all been great so far, but I have to admit I'm partial to Persuasion, probably due to the deep love for Jane Austen my parents instilled in all of us as children.

Memorial Day

I did pretty much nothing yesterday, which was pretty much wonderful.

It rained most of the day, which created a soothing background for a lazy day.

Our lives stay busy, so it's nice to have a sabbath, a day of rest, every once in a while.
